- Abstract: We analyze the eigenvalues and eigenfunctions stemming from a recent study of
the interaction of a scalar particle with a Coulomb potential in the presence
of a background of the violation of the Lorentz symmetry established by a
tensor field. We show, beyond any doubt, that the physical conclusions drawn by
the authors from a truncation of a power series, coming from the application of
the Frobenius method, are meaningless and nonsensical.

We analytically derive the modified Langevin noise formalism from the established canonical quantization of the electromagnetic field in macroscopic media.
We prove that each of the two field parts can be expressed in term of particular bosonic operators, which in turn diagonalize the electromagnetic Hamiltonian.

We show that an isotropic dipolar particle in the vicinity of a substrate made of nonreciprocal plasmonic materials can experience a lateral Casimir force and torque.
We connect the existence of the lateral force to the asymmetric dispersion of nonreciprocal surface polaritons and the existence of the lateral torque to the spin-momentum locking of such surface waves.

relativistic quantum dynamics of a scalar particle under the effect of Lorentz symmetry violation determined by a tensor $(K_F)_mu,nu,alpha,beta$ out of the Standard Model Extension is investigated.
We see that the bound-state solution of the modified Klein-Gordon equation can be obtained, and the spectrum of energy and the wave function depends on the Lorentz symmetry breaking parameters.

We show that the truncation condition proposed by the authors only provides one energy eigenvalue for a particular model potential.
The dependence of the cyclotron frequency on the quantum numbers is a mere artifact of the truncation condition.

We show that the authors did not obtain the spectrum of the eigenvalue equation but only one eigenvalue for a specific relationship between model parameters.
The existence of allowed cyclotron frequencies conjectured by the authors is a mere artifact of the truncation condition used to obtain exact solutions to the radial eigenvalue equation.
