- Abstract: We investigate two-color photon correlations in the light emitted by strongly
coupled two-level emitters. Spectral filtering allows us to manipulate the
collected light statistics and we show that the resonances induced by
dipole-dipole interactions give rise to specific correlations, where the
time-symmetry of the correlations is broken. Based on the collective dressed
states, our study encompasses both the case of real processes, where the
photons are associated with specific resonances and classical correlations
between each other, and virtual processes, where pairs of photons are emitted
with non-classical correlations.

We consider a prototype light-harvesting heterodimer exhibiting coherent and collective exciton-vibration interactions.
We show that coherent vibronic mechanisms strongly affect the asymmetries characteristic of time-resolved photon cross-correlations.
We discuss how such second-order correlation asymmetry establishes important connections between coherent vibronic interactions, directional exciton population transport, and violation of quantum detailed balance.

Two-photon (second order) intensity correlation is known to be impossible to achieve by any classical means.
We present coherence manipulations of attenuated laser light to achieve such a quantum feature using pure coherence optics.
To excite the coherence quantum features between paired coherent photons, a selective measurement process plays an essential role.

We consider an ensemble of Alkali atoms that are continuously optically pumped and probed.
Due to the collective scattering of photons at large optical depth, the steady state of atoms does not correspond to an uncorrelated tensor-product state.
We find and characterize regimes of Raman lasing, akin to the model of a superradiant laser.
