- Abstract: We make a spectral analysis of the massive Dirac operator in a tubular
neighborhood of an unbounded planar curve, subject to infinite mass boundary
conditions. Under general assumptions on the curvature, we locate the essential
spectrum and derive an effective Hamiltonian on the base curve which
approximates the original operator in the thin-strip limit. We also investigate
the existence of bound states in the non-relativistic limit and give a
geometric quantitative condition for the bound states to exist.

We study phase transitions occurring in the stationary state of the dynamics of integrable many-body non-Hermitian Hamiltonians.
We observe that the entanglement phase transitions occurring in the stationary state have the same nature as that occurring in the vacuum of the non-hermitian Hamiltonian.

We formulate a self-consistent model of the integer quantum Hall effect on an infinite strip.
We find that the latter introduce a new kind of states with no classical analogues, and add a finer structure to the quantization pattern of the Hall conductivity.
Our model also predicts the breakdown of the quantum Hall effect at high values of the applied electric field.

All the local realisations of the free (Laplace-Beltrami) quantum Hamiltonian are examined as non-equivalent protocols of transmission/reflection.
This allows to comprehend the distinguished status of the so-called bridging' transmission protocol previously identified in the literature.

We show that the inductive limit of free lattice ground states exists and the limit state extends to the familiar massive continuum free field.
