- Abstract: In this article, we introduce a framework for entanglement quantification of
photon pairs represented by two-qubit Werner states. The measurement scheme is
based on the symmetric informationally complete POVM. To make the framework
realistic, we impose the Poisson noise on the measured two-photon coincidences.
For various settings, numerical simulations were performed to evaluate the
efficiency of the framework.

In quantum illumination, various detection schemes have been proposed for harnessing remaining quantum correlations of the entanglement-based resource state.
We investigate the performance of this scheme for realistic detection parameters in terms of detection efficiency, dark count probability, and photon number resolution.
We find that the requirements for photon number resolution in the two mixer outputs are highly asymmetric due to different associated photon number expectation values.

We investigate a framework for binary image denoising via restricted Boltzmann machines (RBMs)
The denoising objective is attained by balancing the distribution learned by a trained RBM with a penalty term for derivations from the noisy image.
While we frame the model as an image denoising model, it can be applied to any binary data.
