- Abstract: This demo presents a functional Proof-of-Concept prototype of a smart
bracelet that utilizes IoT and ML to help in the effort to contain pandemics
such as COVID-19. The designed smart bracelet aids people to navigate life
safely by monitoring health signs; and detecting and alerting people when they
violate social distancing regulations. In addition, the bracelet communicates
with similar bracelets to keep track of recent contacts. Using RFID technology,
the bracelet helps in automating access control to premises such as workplaces.
All this is achieved while preserving the privacy of the users.

Imputation [54.839600943189915]
Mobile Health (mHealth) is the ability to use wearable sensors to monitor participant physiology at high frequencies during daily life to enable temporally-precise health interventions.
Despite a rich imputation literature, existing techniques are ineffective for the pulsative signals which comprise many mHealth applications.
We address this gap with PulseImpute, the first large-scale pulsative signal imputation challenge which includes realistic mHealth missingness models, an extensive set of baselines, and clinically-relevant downstream tasks.

We learn a set of challenging partially-observed manipulation tasks from visual and audio inputs.
Our proposed system learns these tasks by combining offline imitation learning from tele-operated demonstrations and online finetuning.
In a set of simulated tasks, we find that our system benefits from using audio, and that by using online interventions we are able to improve the success rate of offline imitation learning by 20%.

Face touching is a compulsive human begavior that can not be prevented without making a continuous effort.
We have designed a smartwatch-based solution, CovidAlert, that detects hand transition to face and sends a quick haptic alert to the users.
The overall accuracy of our system is 88.4% with low false negatives and false positives.

The Smart Band aims to eliminate the need for a physical trigger by the person who finds himself in dangerous situations like kidnapping, front-facing some wild animal, heart attack, etc.
The Smart Band is designed as a personalized wearable device, wherein the user heart beat rate is collected and trained using machine learning algorithm, which triggers the alert system automatically when the event is identified.
As soon as the event is detected, the band relays GPS coordinates to first responders and emergency contacts, which will be sent via the Network Carrier (SIM card module) directly from the band.

Google and Apple have jointly provided an API for exposure notification in order to implement decentralized contract tracing apps using Bluetooth Low Energy.
We demonstrate that in real-world scenarios the GAP design is vulnerable to (i) profiling and possibly de-anonymizing persons, and (ii) relay-based wormhole attacks that basically can generate fake contacts.
