- Abstract: The incompatibility of physical observables is one of the hallmarks of
quantum mechanics. This form of non-classicality, encapsulated by negative
quasiprobabilities, has been shown to underlie metrological and thermodynamical
advantages and it can be related with information scrambling and dynamical
phase transitions in many-body systems. In this work, we use a nitrogen-vacancy
center in diamond to realize the experimental implementation of a weak
two-point measurement scheme to reconstruct the Margenau-Hill quasiprobability
distribution, whose negativity implies non-classicality. Finally, we
experimentally show work extraction, empowered by non-classicality, beyond the
classical case.

quadratic fermionic models [62.997667081978825]
In quadratic fermionic models we determine a quantum correction to the work statistics after a sudden and a time-dependent driving.
Such a correction lies in the non-commutativity of the initial quantum state and the time-dependent Hamiltonian.
Thanks to the latter, one can assess the onset of non-classical signatures in the KDQ distribution of work.

We study how the probability of presence of a particle is distributed between the two parts of a composite fermionic system.
We prove that it is a non-perturbative property and we find out a large/small coupling constant duality.
Inspired by the proof of KAM theorem, we are able to deal with this problem by introducing a cut-off in energies that eliminates these small denominators.
