- Abstract: The Boltzmann-Loschmidt dispute of 1876 questioned the possibility of a statistical irreversible description by time reversible classical equations of motion of atoms. Here we show analytically and numerically that the quantum chaos diffusion of cold atoms, or ions, in a harmonic trap and pulsed optical lattice can be inverted back in time with up to 100\% efficiency. This is in sharp contrast to classical evolution where exponentially small errors break time reversibility. We argue that the existing experimental skills allow highlighting the Boltzmann-Loschmidt dispute from a quantum perspective.

We consider a situation when evolution of an entangled Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen (EPR) pair takes place in a regime of quantum chaos being chaotic in the classical limit.
The time evolution is reversible even if a presence of small errors breaks time reversal of classical dynamics.
We show that due to EPR pair entanglement a measurement of one particle at the moment of time reversal breaks exact time reversal of another particle which demonstrates only an approximate time reversibility.

Wheeler's delayed-choice experiment was conceived to illustrate the paradoxical nature of wave-particle duality in quantum mechanics.
In the experiment, quantum light can exhibit either wave-like interference patterns or particle-like anti-correlations.
A variant known as the quantum eraser uses entangled light to recover the lost interference in a seemingly nonlocal and retrocausal manner.
