- Abstract: The traditional analysis of the basic version of the double-slit experiment
leads to the conclusion that wave-particle duality is a fundamental fact of
nature. However, such a conclusion means to imply that we are not only required
to have two contradictory pictures of reality but also compelled to abandon the
objectiveness of the truth values, "true" and "false". Yet, even if we could
accept wave-like behavior of quantum particles as the best explanation for the
build-up of an interference pattern in the double-slit experiment, without the
objectivity of the truth values we would never have certainty regarding any
statement about the world. The present paper discusses ways to reconcile the
correct description of the double-slit experiment with the objectiveness of
"true" and "false".

Einstein discussed a gedanken experiment involving a single photon diffracted at an aperture and impinging on a screen.
He devised the example to support De Broglie's hypothesis of the pilot wave, and his own ideas on the incompleteness of the description of physical reality provided by Quantum Mechanics.
Partial realizations of Einstein's example have been performed, but the complete experiment has not been attempted (for good practical reasons) yet.

Pilot wave theory endows particles with definite positions at all times governed by deterministic dynamics.
Individual particle trajectories are generically undetectable by experiment.
It is concluded that the puzzles arise from the absence of a coherent account of what quantum mechanical measurements signify.

The derivation of Bell's inequalities gives precise meaning to the idea of quantum non-locality.
It also makes evident why using it for faster than light signaling is impossible.
It is demonstrated that series of outcomes, even if they violate Bell's inequalities, can be always embedded in a set of factual and counter-factual data.

We find factual accuracy (truth) scores of 74.1/80.6/82.6/87.1 and reasoning accuracy scores of 63.1/78.0/71.8/79.2.
This shows the clear progression of models towards improved factual accuracy and entailment reasoning.

In 1935, Albert Einstein, Boris Podolsky, and Nathan Rosen reported on a thought experiment that they believed showed that quantum theory provided an incomplete description of reality.
Today it is known that quantum theory is both complete and correct.
The EPR thought experiment, while also correct, has yet to have a natural physical explanation and has since been considered part of a paradox.
I do not refer to any interpretation of quantum theory, but show independently why the apparently logical statement of EPR about reality is false.
