- Abstract: We provide an analysis of complementarity via a suitably designed
classicalmodel that leads to a set of inequalities that can be tested by means
ofunsharp measurements. We show that, if the measured statistics does
notfulfill the inequalities it is equivalent to the lack of a joint
distribution for theincompatible observables. This is illustrated by
path-interference duality ina Young interferometer.

We show that spin-squeezing inequalities can not only be evaluated by measurements of the total angular momentum but also by two-qubit correlations.
We discuss how error bounds can be derived for nonlinear estimators with the help of their variances.
Our methods can also be applied to spin-squeezing inequalities for qudits or for the statistical treatment of other nonlinear parameters of quantum states.

It is commonly believed that the marginal likelihood should be reminiscent of cross-validation metrics and that both should deteriorate with larger input dimensions.
We prove that by tuning hyper parameters, the performance, as measured by the marginal likelihood, improves monotonically with the input dimension.
We also prove that cross-validation metrics exhibit qualitatively different behavior that is characteristic of double descent.

quadratic pseudospectrum is a method for approaching systems with incompatible observables.
We derive an important estimate relating the Clifford and quadratic pseudospectra.
We prove that the quadratic pseudospectrum is local, and derive bounds on the errors that are incurred by truncating the system in the vicinity of where the pseudospectrum is being calculated.

Bell's inequalities are defined by sums of correlations involving non-commuting observables in each of the two systems.
Violations of Bell's inequalities are only possible because the precision of any joint measurement of these observables will be limited by quantum mechanical uncertainty relations.

We show that systematically induced correlations in the dataset are being learned and reflected in the latent representations.
We also demonstrate how to resolve these latent correlations, either using weak supervision during training or by post-hoc correcting a pre-trained model with a small number of labels.
