- Abstract: We describe the analytical solution of the eigenvalue problem introduced in
our article mentioned in the title and relative to a punctiform electric charge
confined in an one-dimensional box in the presence of an electric field. We
also derive and discuss the analytical expressions of the external forces
acting on the punctiform charge and associated with the boundaries of the
one-dimensional box in the presence of the electric field.

We address the problem of transparent boundary conditions for quantum graphs, building on previous work on transparent boundary conditions for the stationary Schrodinger equation on a line.
We also discuss how the eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of a quantum graph are influenced not only by its topology, but also by the shape of a potential when an external field is involved.

We analyze recent results concerning the hypothesis of a privileged direction in the space-time that is made by considering a background of the Lorentz symmetry violation determined by a fixed spacelike vector field.
We show that the conclusions derived by the authors are an artifact of the truncation of the Frobenius series by means of the tree-term recurrence relation for the expansion coefficients.

In the strong electric field limit we derive, under certain local convexity conditions, a three-term expansion of the low-lying eigenvalues.
This shows that the excitation are proportional to the square root of the boundary curvature at a certain point determined by the direction of the electric field.
