- Abstract: This paper presents a review of the status of currencies in video games. The
business of video games is a multibillion-dollar industry, and its internal
economy design is an important field to investigate. In this study, we have
distinguished virtual currencies in terms of game mechanics and virtual
currency schema, and we have examined 11 games that have used virtual
currencies in a significant way and have provided insight for game designers on
the internal game economy by showing tangible examples of game mechanics
presented in our model

In-game virtual currencies can invoke inadequate gaming behaviors and additions among players.
The market lacks gaming and customer protection regulations to avoid the financial, behavioral, and psychological exploitation of users.
This paper presents a conceptual design of an in-game purchasing module that allows the user to observe their real time spendings in relation to virtual currency buying.

Games [13.241655571625822]
Going beyond Atari games towards training agents in modern games has been prohibitively expensive for the vast majority of the research community.
Recent progress in the research, development and open release of large vision models has the potential to amortize some of these costs across the community.
We present a systematic study of imitation learning with publicly available visual encoders compared to the typical, task-specific, end-to-end training approach in Minecraft, Minecraft Dungeons and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Most captivatingly, our PGM unlocks the director's mode, where the game is played by specifying goals for the agents in the form of a prompt.
Our method significantly outperforms existing neural video game simulators in terms of rendering quality and unlocks applications beyond the capabilities of the current state of the art.

Information in Situated Guessing Games [83.53942719040576]
In visual guessing games, a Guesser has to identify a target object in a scene by asking questions to an Oracle.
Existing models fail to learn truly multi-modal representations, relying instead on gold category labels for objects in the scene both at training and inference time.
We introduce a novel "imagination" module based on Regularized Auto-Encoders, that learns context-aware and category-aware latent embeddings without relying on category labels at inference time.
