- Abstract: The coherent energy transfer between a quantum charger and a quantum battery
is analyzed. In particular, we study how to improve the direct energy transfer
by adding a photonic cavity as a mediator. We show that the additional degree
of freedom given by the photons consistently improves the transfer
performances, above all in the off-resonant case, where there is a mismatch in
the energy levels. An experimental feasible way to switch-on and off the
interaction between each part of the systems and the possibility of changing
the energy levels mismatch will be described, in view of finding the best
working setup.

We study a model of amplification of quantum transfer and making it directed which we call the quantum ratchet model.
The ratchet effect is achieved in the quantum control model with dissipation and sink, where the Hamiltonian depends on vibrations in the energy difference synchronized with transitions between energy levels.
Amplitude and frequency of the oscillating vibron together with the dephasing rate are the parameters of the quantum ratchet which determine its efficiency.

We investigate a Dicke quantum battery in the dispersive regime, where the photons trapped into a resonant cavity are way more energetic with respect to the two-level systems embedded into it.
Under such off-resonant conditions, even an empty cavity can lead to the charging of the quantum battery through a proper modulation of the matter-radiation coupling.

Enhanced interaction between two two-level emitters (e.g., atoms) by nonreciprocal photonic media can be of benefit to broad areas.
We show that breaking electromagnetic reciprocity makes it possible for the cooperative decay rate to exceed the spontaneous decay rate.
We then show that breaking reciprocity in such a system via driving a DC current through the plasmonic material can drastically increase the probability of photon emission from one emitter to another.
