- Abstract: We exploit the complete complementarity relations (CCR) to fully characterize various aspects of quantumness in QED scattering processes at tree level. As a paradigmatic example, we consider Bhabha scattering in two different configurations: in the first case, the initial state is factorized in the spin and we study the generation of entanglement due to the scattering. Then we consider the most general case in which the initial state can be entangled: we find that the scattering generates and distributes quantum information in a non-trivial way among the spin degrees of freedom of the particles, with CCR relations being preserved. An important outcome of our analysis is that maximal entanglement is conserved in the scattering process involving only fermions as input and output states, with a more complex situation if photons are present.

Our main result is that in systems of light emitters subject to single-emitter or two-emitter driving, the steady state perturbed away from the U(1) limit generically exhibits spin squeezing.

This paper reports about the Wigner formalism for describing Dirac spinor structures through a covariant phase-space formulation.
For Dirac spinor Wigner operators decomposed into Poincar'e classes of $SU(2) otimes SU(2)$ spinor couplings, a definitive expression for quantum purity is identified.
Our results can be read as the first step in the systematic computation of the elementary information content of Dirac-like systems.

When driven by a potential bias between two finite reservoirs, the particle current across a quantum system evolves from an initial loading through a coherent, followed by a metastable phase, and ultimately fades away upon equilibration.
We formulate a theory which fully accounts for the associated, distinct time scales, and identifies the parameter dependence of the decay rate which ultimately controls the convergence towards equilibrium.
