- Abstract: The theory of an $\eta$-pseudo Hermitian Hamiltonian with $\mathcal{PT}$ symmetry is reviewed and extended to include open system dynamics. Inspired by a simple light matter interaction open system model, information theoretic quantities like a non-Markovian witness and fidelity are calculated for the $\mathcal{PT-}$symmetric Hamiltonian, and the results are compared with their corresponding Hermitian counterparts. The nature of entanglement between two $\mathcal{PT-}$symmetric and Hermitian open quantum systems is calculated, and the contrast observed.

A non-Hermitian generalisation of the Marsden--Weinstein reduction method is introduced to construct families of quantum $mathcalPT$-symmetric superintegrable models.
The mechanism is illustrated with one- and two-dimensional examples, related to $u(2)$ and $u(3)$ Lie algebras respectively.
In certain limits, the models reduce to known non-Hermitian systems and complex extensions of previously studied real superintegrable systems.
