- Abstract: This report presents some technical details on the authentication process of a lightweight key exchange protocol, paying attention on how Man-in-the-Middle (MitM) attacks could undermine its security, e.g., under the scope of lawful interception and its risk to facilitate mass surveillance. We focus only on some technical aspects associated to the attack scenario. Perspectives for future work are also discussed. Other specific aspects of the work, mainly focusing on the security implications of malicious metasurfaces against B5G networks, are excluded from the scope of this report.

Hidden malicious intent in multi-turn dialogue poses a growing threat to large language models (LLMs)<n>Recent studies show that even modern commercial models with advanced guardrails remain vulnerable to such attacks despite advances in safety alignment and external guardrails.<n>In this work, we address this challenge by detecting the earliest turn at which delivering the candidate response would make the accumulated interaction sufficient to enable harmful action.

This paper introduces a novel and previously unrecognized threat in face forgery detection scenarios caused by backdoor attack.
By embedding backdoors into models, attackers can deceive detectors into producing erroneous predictions for forged faces.
We propose emphPoisoned Forgery Face framework, which enables clean-label backdoor attacks on face forgery detectors.

Tamper-Evident Pairing (TEP) is an improvement of the Push-Button configuration (PBC) standard.
TEP relies on the Tamper-Evident Announcement (TEA), which guarantees that an adversary can neither tamper a transmitted message without being detected, nor hide the fact that the message has been sent.
This paper provides a comprehensive overview of the TEP protocol, including all information needed to understand how it works.
