- Abstract: Loschmidt echoes are a well-established method to characterize dynamical properties such as quantum chaos and sensitivity to perturbations. Here we present a straightforward generalization that identifies non-classical dynamical behavior. The generalized echoes involve four forward-backward time propagators. If these propagators do not commute, one can readily identify signatures of this property in the relations between echoes. As an example, detection of intrinsic non-commuting quantum features is analyzed in critical dynamics of a spin chain. Interestingly, this phenomenon is also observed for Gaussian dynamics and high temperature limits which are generally regarded as classical.

In the noninteracting case, quantized Thouless pumps can only occur when a topological singularity is encircled adiabatically.
In the presence of interactions, such topological transport can even persist for exotic paths in which the system gets arbitrarily close to the noninteracting singularity.

It is shown that dynamical quantum phase transitions observed as singularities in the Loschmidt rate singularities bear close resemblance to standard Rabi oscillations.
For some many-body systems this analogy may go even further and the behaviour observed for e.g. transverse Ising chain can be directly mapped to such simple dynamics.

Unavoidable coupling of quantum systems to external degrees of freedom leads to dissipative (non-unitary) dynamics.
We introduce a method to deal with these systems based on the calculation of (dissipative) lattice Green's function.
We illustrate the power of this method with several examples of driven-dissipative bosonic chains of increasing complexity.

Three notions are often assumed to be essentially equivalent, representing different facets of the same phenomenon.
We analyze them in general Friedmann-Lemaitre- Robertson-Walker space-times through the lens of geometric structures on the classical phase space.
The analysis shows that: (i) inflation does not play an essential role; classical behavior can emerge much more generally; (ii) the three notions are conceptually distinct; classicality can emerge in one sense but not in another.
