- Abstract: We use quantum energy teleportation in the light-matter interaction as an operational means to create quantum field states that violate energy conditions and have negative local stress-energy densities. We show that the protocol is optimal in the sense that it scales in a way that saturates the quantum interest conjecture.

We implement parameterized quantum circuits with definite and indefinite causal order.
One of these is the expressibility, which measures how uniformly a given quantum circuit can reach the whole Hilbert space.

We explore recent advancements in the understanding and manipulation of vacuum energy in quantum physics.
Traditional QET protocols extract energy from what we refer to as a quasi-vacuum'' state, but the extracted quantum energy is dissipated into classical devices.
We propose an enhanced QET protocol that incorporates an additional qubit, enabling the stored energy to be stored within a quantum register for future use.

We report on an energy-conversion device with the working medium acted by two entangled ions confined in a harmonic potential.
The two ions are entangled by virtually coupling to one of the vibrational modes shared by the two ions, and the quantum engine couples to a quantum load.
We explore the energy conversion efficiency of the quantum engine and investigate the useful energy (i.e., the maximum extractable work) stored in the quantum load.

We show how to employ one laser drive to cool the entire system including the case when it is composed of other subsystems.
