- Abstract: In this paper we consider an electron moving on a two dimensional
noncommutative plane immersed in a constant magnetic field under the influence
of an anisotropic harmonic potential. We work out the gauge invariant energy
spectra of this system using a consistent gauge prescription proposed in
\cite{nctori,gauge-wigfunc}. We also show subsequently that straightforward
generalization of the Landau problem in the noncommutative setting using
minimal coupling prescription as is done naively on many occasions in the
literature violates gauge invariance of the energy spectra.

We introduce a two-dimensional non-Hermitian lattice model with an imaginary magnetic field.
We show that the energy spectrum does not converge as lattice size is made larger, which comes from the intrinsic nonperiodicity of the model.
We also find an analog of the Aharonov-Bohm effect; the net change of the norm of the wave function upon adiabatically forming a closed path is determined by the imaginary magnetic flux enclosed by the path.

We investigate the effects of noncommutative Quantum Mechanics in three dimensions on the energy levels of a charged isotropic harmonic oscillator in the presence of a uniform magnetic field in the z-direction.
The most important result we can note is that all energy corrections due to noncommutativity are negative and their magnitude increase with increasing Quantum numbers and magnetic field.
