- Abstract: We find that a bipartite quantum state is entangled if and only if it is
quantum coherent with respect to complete bases of states in the corresponding
system that are distinguishable under local quantum operations and classical
communication. The corresponding minimal quantum coherence is the entanglement
of formation. Connections to the relative entropy of entanglement and quantum
coherence, and generalizations to the multiparty case are also considered.

We find that the m-separability and k-partite entanglement of a multipartite quantum system is correlated with quantum coherence of the same with respect to complete orthonormal bases.
We show that the geometric measure of m-inseparable entanglement of a multipartite quantum state is equal to the square of minimum fidelity-based quantum coherence of the state with respect to complete orthonormal bases.

through quantum input Bell test [0.0]
Physical theories constrained with local quantum structure and satisfying the no-signalling principle can allow beyond-quantum global states.
In a standard Bell experiment, correlations obtained from any such beyond-quantum bipartite state can always be reproduced by quantum states and measurements.
We show that if the Bell experiment is generalized to allow local quantum inputs, then beyond-quantum correlations can be generated by every beyond-quantum state.

We study optimal ways to create a large amount of quantum coherence via quantum channels.
correlations in multipartite systems do not enhance the ability of a quantum channel to create coherence.
We show that a channel can destroy more coherence when acting on a subsystem of a bipartite state.

Coherence is a fundamental notion in quantum mechanics, defined relative to a reference basis.
