- Abstract: We investigate the implications of quantum Darwinism in a composite quantum
system with interacting constituents exhibiting a decoherence-free subspace. We
consider a two-qubit system coupled to an $N$-qubit environment via a dephasing
interaction. For excitation preserving interactions between the system qubits,
an analytical expression for the dynamics is obtained. It demonstrates that
part of the system Hilbert space redundantly proliferates its information to
the environment, while the remaining subspace is decoupled and preserves clear
non-classical signatures. For measurements performed on the system, we
establish that a non-zero quantum discord is shared between the composite
system and the environment, thus violating the conditions of strong Darwinism.
However, due to the asymmetry of quantum discord, the information shared with
the environment is completely classical for measurements performed on the
environment. Our results imply a dichotomy between objectivity and classicality
that emerges when considering composite systems.

The growth of the entanglement between a disjoint subsystem and its complement after a quantum quench is regarded as a dynamical chaos indicator.
We show that for almost all dual unitary circuits the entanglement dynamics agrees with what is expected for chaotic systems.
Despite having many conserved charges, charge-conserving dual-unitary circuits are in general not Yang-Baxter integrable.

We add strong support to the relational concept of time by deriving the time-dependent Schroedinger equation for a system from an energy eigenstate of the global Hamiltonian consisting of system, environment and their interaction.
Our results are consistent with concepts for the emergence of time where interaction has been taken into account at the expense of a semiclassical treatment of the environment.

Quantum decoherence is the disappearance of simple phase relations within a discrete quantum system as a result of interactions with an environment.
We introduce a theoretical framework wherein we combine the truncated Wigner approximation with standard time-dependent perturbation theory.
We show that the selective suppression of low-frequency environmental modes is particularly effective for mitigating quantum decoherence.

We investigate the relevance between information scrambling in environment and the emergence of quantum Darwinism.
We show that when the system shows a Darwinistic behavior system information that is initially localized in the environment is not scrambled, while when Darwinism disappears scrambling occurs.

We introduce an extended spin-star model where the system is coupled to $N$ independent spin-chains.
Each site of the chain then lives in a definite layer of the environment, and hence we term this the "onion" model.
Considering a fully factorized initial state for all constituent sub-systems, we then examine how the emergence and proliferation of signatures of quantum Darwinism are delicately dependent on the chain interaction.
