- Abstract: Correlation is the basic mechanism of every measurement model, as one never accesses the measured system directly. Instead, correlations are created, codifying information about the measurable property into the environment. Here, we address the problem of the emergence of physical reality from the quantum world by introducing a model that interpolates between weak and strong non-selective measurements for qudits. By utilizing Heisenberg-Weyl operators, our model suggests that independently of the interaction intensity between the system and the environment, full information about the observable of interest can always be obtained by making the system interact with many environmental qudits, following a Quantum Darwinism framework.

We propose Neural Interaction Inference with Potentials (NIIP) as an alternative approach to discover such interactions.
NIIP assigns low energy to the subset of trajectories which respect the relational constraints observed.
It allows trajectory manipulation, such as interchanging interaction types across separately trained models, as well as trajectory forecasting.

We formulate the anomaly detection problem from a causal perspective and view anomalies as instances that do not follow the regular causal mechanism to generate the multivariate data.
We then propose a causality-based anomaly detection approach, which first learns the causal structure from data and then infers whether an instance is an anomaly relative to the local causal mechanism.
We evaluate our approach with both simulated and public datasets as well as a case study on real-world AIOps applications.

Objectivity and non-Markovianity [0.0]
Non-Markovian information can be captured by non-Markovian witnesses.
We show how such behavior suppresses the classic plateau in Partial Information Plot (PIP) from the paradigm of quantum Darwinism.
In addition to the system point of view, we show the impossibility of encoding accessible information for measurement in the environment for any model limit.

We use a Matrix Product State representation of the quantum state of a system and its environment to keep track of the bath explicitly.
We predict a non-Markovian dynamics where long-range couplings induce correlations into the environment.
The environment dynamics can be naturally extracted from our method and shine a light on long time feedback effects that are responsible for the observed non-Markovian recurrences in the eigen-populations of the system.

We show that non-Markovianity is highly detrimental for the emergence of synchronization, for the latter can be delayed and hindered because of the presence of information backflow.
The results are obtained considering both a master equation approach and a collision model based on repeated interactions, which represents a very versatile tool to tailor the desired kind of environment.
