- Abstract: We consider $d$-dimensional quantum systems which for positive times evolve with a time-independent Hamiltonian in a nonequilibrium state that we keep generic in order to account for arbitrary evolution at negative times. We show how the one-point functions of local operators depend on the coefficients of the expansion of the nonequilibrium state on the basis of energy eigenstates. We express in this way the asymptotic offset and show under which conditions oscillations around this value stay undamped at large times. We also show how, in the case of small quenches, the structure of the general results simplifies and reproduces that known perturbatively.

We show that an exponential speedup to equilibrium will always occur if the state is transformed to a diagonal state in the energy eigenbasis.
When the transformed state has a higher nonequilibrium free energy, we argue using thermodynamic reasoning that this is a textitgenuine quantum Mpemba effect.

We extend the theory of quantum quenches to the case in which before the quench the system is in an excited state.
Oscillations staying undamped within the accessible time interval, far beyond the perturbative time scale, are nowadays observed in numerical simulations.

Signatures of localization have been observed in condensed matter and cold atomic systems.
We propose a model of one-dimensional chain of non-interacting, spinless fermions coupled to a local ensemble of baths.
We show that the steady state of the system undergoes a localization entanglement phase transition by tuning $p$ which remains stable in the presence of coherent hopping.

We show that the dynamics of generic quantum systems concentrate around their equilibrium value when measuring at arbitrary times.
We place a lower bound on the recurrence time of quantum systems, since recurrences corresponds to the rare events of finding a state away from equilibrium.

We consider nonequilibrium time evolution in quantum spin chains after a global quench.
Because of them, the stationary state emerging at infinite time can exhibit exceptional features.
Among the exceptional properties, we find that, at late times, the excess of entropy of a spin block triggered by a local perturbation in the initial state grows logarithmically with the subsystem's length.
