- Abstract: Scattering by a short-range potential with time-periodic interaction strength is investigated with a Floquet-scattering theory. Sharp resonances occur, at which the s-wave scattering length can be tuned to large positive and negative values. We show that the shape of these resonances is described by a simple formula, and find that both resonance position and prefactor can be altered by the driving strength. Our approach allows to identify the physical origin of the scattering resonances as Floquet bound states with positive energies, which are dynamically created by the drive. This insight is valuable for a detailed analysis and uncovers a general resource for enhanced or reduced scattering in Floquet systems.

We study the effect of the transverse linear tilt on the transmission spectra through a harmonically driven potential well oriented longitudinally.
We find that the Fano resonance energy decreases (increases) for linear (quadratic) band touchings as the magnitude of the transverse momentum increases.
The tilt strength can also be directly determined by measuring the Fano resonance energy as function of the transverse momenta direction.

The Helmholtz equation in one dimension describes the propagation of electromagnetic waves in effectively one-dimensional systems.
The fact that the potential term entering the latter is energy-dependent obstructs the application of the results on low-energy quantum scattering.
We use a recently developed dynamical formulation of stationary scattering to offer a comprehensive treatment of the low-frequency scattering of these waves for a general finite-range scatterer.
