- Abstract: Quantum contextuality, a fundamental feature distinguishing quantum theory from classical models, is investigated via algebraic and topological structures inherent in modular tensor categories. This work rigorously demonstrates that braid group representations induced by modular categories, particularly those associated with SU(2) at level k and Fibonacci anyon models, exhibit state-dependent contextuality characterized by violations of noncontextuality inequalities. By explicitly constructing these unitary representations on fusion spaces, the study establishes a direct correspondence between braiding operations and logical contextuality scenarios. The results offer a comprehensive topological framework to classify and quantify contextuality in low-dimensional quantum systems, elucidating its role as a resource in topological quantum computation and advancing the interface between quantum algebra, topology, and quantum foundations.

Contextuality can be understood as the impossibility to construct a globally consistent description of a model even if there is local agreement.
We can describe contextuality with the bundle approach, where the scenario is represented as a simplicial complex.
We introduce a hierarchy called n-contextuality to explore the dependence of contextual behavior of a model to the topology of the scenario.

Three notions are often assumed to be essentially equivalent, representing different facets of the same phenomenon.
We analyze them in general Friedmann-Lemaitre- Robertson-Walker space-times through the lens of geometric structures on the classical phase space.
The analysis shows that: (i) inflation does not play an essential role; classical behavior can emerge much more generally; (ii) the three notions are conceptually distinct; classicality can emerge in one sense but not in another.
