- Abstract: Absence of local conserved quantities, or \textit{nonintegrability}, is often assumed when discussing various phenomena in quantum many-body systems, such as thermalization and transport. However, no concrete proof of this property is known in electron--phonon coupled systems, a typical setting for condensed matter physics. In this paper, we show that the one-dimensional Holstein model has no nontrivial local conserved quantities other than the Hamiltonian itself and the total fermion number operator. We further show that the absence of nontrivial local conserved quantities also holds for the more general Holstein--Hubbard model. Our result has accomplished an advance in nonintegrability proofs by expanding their scope to systems in which particles with different statistical properties are mixed.

Absence of local conserved quantities is often required, such as for thermalization or for the validity of response theory.
Here, we rigorously prove that, if all coupling constants are nonzero, this model has no conserved quantity spanned by local operators.
Results provide the second example of spin models whose nonintegrability is rigorously proved.

We argue that the notion of identical particles is no longer well defined in quantum systems governed by non-commutative deformations of space-time symmetries.
Our analysis is based on the observation that, for states containing more than one particle, only the total momentum of the system is a well defined quantum number.

Bell's experiment description assumes the (Quantum Mechanics-language equivalent of the classical) condition of Locality.
This result is complementary to a recently published one demonstrating that non-Locality is necessary to describe said experiment.
It is concluded that, within the framework of Quantum Mechanics, there is absolutely no reason to believe in the existence of non-Local effects.
