- Abstract: A brief (subjective) description of the state of the art of the many-worlds
interpretation of quantum mechanics (MWI) is presented. It is argued that the
MWI is the only interpretation which removes action at a distance and
randomness from quantum theory. Limitations of the MWI regarding questions of
probability which can be legitimately asked are specified. The ontological
picture of the MWI as a theory of the universal wave function decomposed into a
superposition of world wave functions, the important parts of which are defined
in three-dimensional space, is presented from the point of view of our
particular branch. Some speculations about misconceptions, which apparently
prevent the MWI to be in the consensus, are mentioned.

The meaning of the wave function is an unresolved issue in Bohmian mechanics.
According to the nomological view, the wave function of the universe or the universal wave function is nomological.
The PBR theorem proves that the wave function in quantum mechanics or the effective wave function in Bohmian mechanics is ontic.

Embezzlement of entanglement refers to the counterintuitive possibility of extracting entangled quantum states from a reference state of an auxiliary system.
We uncover a deep connection between the operational task of embezzling entanglement and the mathematical classification of von Neumann algebras.

We present a methodological argument to refute the so-called many-worlds interpretation (MWI) of quantum theory.
We show, in fact, that a whole class of theories--of which MWI is a prime example--fails to satisfy some basic tenets of science which we call facts about natural science.

Quantum Experiments [0.0]
Many worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics (MWI) states that the world we live in is just one among many parallel worlds.
It is widely believed that because of this commitment to parallel worlds, the MWI violates common sense.
This is despite its myriad of advantages to physics.

I propose a slight addition to standard textbook quantum mechanics, in the form of two rules, which avoids the paradox.
The first specifies when a given quantum dynamics can be interpreted as a measurement.
The second requires that a joint context be used to determine whether several different dynamical evolutions can all be interpreted as measurement.

In Copenhagen the physical objects and the experimental results can be described only in a macroscopic language.
The measurement problem is at the center of these difficulties, mainly because it requires the introduction of the reduction process of the wave function.
We build up and propose a model which is able to solve the measurement problem and all the other difficulties which, in a way or in another, are related to it.
