- Abstract: We have theoretically studied the scattering of two-photon pulses from a
spatially-separated array of two-level atoms coupled to the waveguide. A
general analytical expression for the scattered pulse has been obtained. The
contributions of various single-eigenstate and double-excited eigenstates of
the array have been analyzed. We have also calculated the dependence of the
time incident photons are stored in the array on its period and the number of
atoms. The largest storage times correspond to the structures with the
anti-Bragg period, equal to the quarter of the wavelength of light at the atom
resonance frequency $\lambda/4$.

Such generation can be interpreted as a dynamical Casimir effect.
We demonstrate numerically and analytically how the emission directionality and photon-photon correlations can be controlled by the phases of the modulation.

We study the scattering of a single photon propagating along a waveguide in an arbitrary superposition state two frequencies with a single three-level $Lambda$ atom in a superposition of two non-degenerate ground states where the atom is coupled to a waveguide.
Our results show that a three-level $Lambda$ atom coupled to a waveguide can be used as photon phase filter that could detect the relative phase between the two frequencies of the photon superposition state.

In spite of particle losses the quantum entanglement propagation exhibits a ballistic character with propagation speeds related to the differerent quasiparticles that are involved in the dynamics.
Our analysis reveals that photon dissipation has a strikingly asymmetric behavior in the two configurations with a much more dramatic role on the holon entanglement propagation than for the doublon case.
