- Abstract: How to manage coherence as a continuous variable quantum resource is still an
open question. We face this situation from the very definition of incoherent
states in quadrature basis. We apply several measures of coherence for some
physical states of light relative to a quadrature basis. We examine the action
on the coherence of several transformations such as beam splittings and
squeezing.

Embezzlement of entanglement refers to the task of extracting entanglement from an entanglement resource via local operations and without communication.
We show that finite-dimensional approximations of multipartite embezzling states form multipartite embezzling families.
We discuss our results in the context of quantum field theory and quantum many-body physics.

A central question since the beginning of quantum information science is how two distant parties can convert one entangled state into another.
It has been conjectured that entangled state transformations could be executed reversibly in an regime, mirroring the nature of Carnot cycles in classical thermodynamics.
We investigate the concept of an entanglement battery, an auxiliary quantum system that facilitates quantum state transformations without a net loss of entanglement.

We quantify the resource content of such states in terms of how much shared randomness is needed to simulate their behavior.
We rigorously show that the shared randomness cost is unbounded even for some two-qubit unsteerable states.

An important problem in any quantum resource theory is to determine how quantum states can be converted into each other.
Very few results have been presented on the intermediate regime between probabilistic and approximate transformations.
We show that these bounds imply an upper bound on the rates for various classes of states under probabilistic transformations.
We also show that the deterministic version of the single copy bounds can be applied for drawing limitations on the manipulation of quantum channels.

Quantum coherence, like entanglement, is a fundamental resource in quantum information.
