- Abstract: A Planck scale inflationary era -- in a quantum gravity theory predicting discreteness of quantum geometry at the fundamental scale -- produces the scale invariant spectrum of inhomogeneities with very small tensor-to-scalar ratio of perturbations and a hot big bang leading to a natural dark matter genesis scenario. Here we evoke the possibility that some of the major puzzles in cosmology would have an explanation rooted in quantum gravity.

Embezzlement of entanglement refers to the counterintuitive possibility of extracting entangled quantum states from a reference state of an auxiliary system.
We uncover a deep connection between the operational task of embezzling entanglement and the mathematical classification of von Neumann algebras.

General relativity and its cosmological solution predicts the existence of tensor modes of perturbations evolving on top of our Friedman-Lemaitre-Robertson-Walker expanding Universe.
Being gauge invariant and not necessarily coupled to other quantum sources, they can be seen as representing pure gravity.
This review will present a summary of the various theoretical issues that could lead to this conclusion.

The scale of quantum mechanical effects in matter is set by Planck's constant, $hbar$.
