- Abstract: We revisit quantum-classical hybrid systems of the Sudarshan type under the
light of Galilean covariance. We show that these kind of hybrids cannot be
given as a unitary representation of the Galilei group and at the same time
conserve the total linear momentum unless the interaction term only depends on
the relative canonical velocities.

We arrive at a consistent, nonstandard representation of the Galilei group.
The corresponding quantum (and classical) theory shares with the relativistic one their fundamentals.
The tachyonic objects described by the new representation cannot be regarded as localizable in the standard sense.

We find that hitherto unrecognized quasiparticles -- incoherentons -- describe a coherent-to-incoherent transition in eigenmodes of a Liouvillian superoperator.
We demonstrate the existence of incoherentons in a lattice boson model subject to dephasing, and show that the quantum coherence gap closes when incoherentons are deconfined.

We discuss a sufficient condition for gapless excitations in the Lindbladian master equation for collective spin-boson systems.
We argue that gapless modes can lead to persistent dynamics in the spin observables with the possible formation of dissipative time-crystals.
