- Abstract: We investigate the effect of coupling between translational and internal
degrees of freedom of composite quantum particles on their localization in a
random potential. We show that entanglement between the two degrees of freedom
weakens localization due to the upper bound imposed on the inverse
participation ratio by purity of a quantum state. We perform numerical
calculations for a two-particle system bound by a harmonic force in a 1D
disordered lattice and a rigid rotor in a 2D disordered lattice. We illustrate
that the coupling has a dramatic effect on localization properties, even with a
small number of internal states participating in quantum dynamics.

In this study, we investigate the decoherence of a spatially superposed electrically neutral spin-$frac12$ particle in the presence of a quantum electromagnetic field in Minkowski spacetime.
We demonstrate that decoherence due to the spin-magnetic field coupling can be categorized into two distinct factors: local decoherence, originating from the two-point correlation functions along each branch of the superposed trajectories, and nonlocal decoherence, which arises from the correlation functions between the two superposed trajectories.

We propose a model of one-dimensional chain of non-interacting, spinless fermions coupled to a local ensemble of baths.
We show that the steady state of the system undergoes a localization entanglement phase transition by tuning $p$ which remains stable in the presence of coherent hopping.
