- Abstract: In this lecture, intended for a general audience, I describe Schr\"odinger's
thought experiment which was designed to show the strange results of extending
the formalism of quantum theory, particularly the idea of superposition, beyond
the subatomic regime. I describe a way to understand superposition in the terms
of formal logic. I trace the development of Schrodinger's ideas after this
thought experiment, and briefly sketch some work which realises it in actual
experiments, and proposals for taking it further.

In quantum gravity theory, a state-dependent gravitational potential introduces nonlinearity into the state evolution.
The formalism for understanding the continuous quantum measurement process on the quantum state has been previously discussed using the Schr"odinger picture.
In this work, an equivalent formalism using the Heisenberg picture is developed and applied to the analysis of two optomechanical experiment protocols.

I propose a slight addition to standard textbook quantum mechanics, in the form of two rules, which avoids the paradox.
The first specifies when a given quantum dynamics can be interpreted as a measurement.
The second requires that a joint context be used to determine whether several different dynamical evolutions can all be interpreted as measurement.

We present an English translation of Erwin Schr"odinger's paper on "On the Reversal of the Laws of Nature"
Schr"odinger's paper acted as a prominent source of inspiration for the works of Bernstein on reciprocal processes and of Kolmogorov on time reversal properties of Markov processes and detailed balance.
We emphasize in our commentary the relevance of Schr"odinger's intuitions for contemporary developments in statistical nano-physics.

It is argued that the Schr"odinger equation does not yield a correct description of the quantum-mechanical time evolution of states of isolated (open) systems featuring events.

Bell's experiment description assumes the (Quantum Mechanics-language equivalent of the classical) condition of Locality.

It is concluded that, within the framework of Quantum Mechanics, there is absolutely no reason to believe in the existence of non-Local effects.
