• Abstract: An expanded interpretation of the wave function describing a pure quantum state of a particle as a closed system is presented. It is shown that the standard, Born interpretation provides an incomplete description of the restrictions that the wave function imposes on the results of measurements of observables. In the configuration space, two fields of the particle momentum values are defined, which can be the result of measurements. These fields satisfy Heisenberg's uncertainty relations and do not allow one to predict particle trajectories in configuration space. Thus, unlike Bohmian mechanics, there are no hidden variables in our approach. The proposed approach brings ordinary quantum mechanics and Bohmian mechanics closer to each other, correcting both.
